How do I register for orientation?
Select the date from the list shown and click on the date you want to register for.
Make sure you use the email and password you used to apply to Juniata. Cannot attend
any of the dates? Contact QUEST@juniata.edu
How do I select my housing and or fill out my roommate preference form?
You will do this by accessing Eagle's Nook from arch.juniata.edu . You will need your Juniata username and password to complete your profile. This
is sent in your matriculation packet once you have deposited. Questions? Contact
the Office of Residential Life residentiallife@juniata.edu.
Why can't I just register for courses over the phone or via the internet?
At Juniata, we believe there is enormous value in face to face communication. We know
that goes against the grain of our high tech culture sometimes, but we still maintain
our position. We fundamentally believe it will be a better experience for everyone,
if you sit down with an academic advisor and chat about your courses and your interests
and goals, etc. No technology can replace that interaction.
Will I spend a lot of time with my family at the Summer Orientation program?
No. We have a very rich and distinct program for both you and your family, but your
paths won't cross much at all during the 24 hours you are here for orientation.
I've got questions about the health form, immunization records, meningitis vaccination,
or other health-related questions. Who should I contact?
You may e-mail or call the Dean of Students Office or you may submit your question
in the "ask a question" box above. You might also check out the
Health and Wellness Center.
I plan to bring a computer with me to campus in the fall. What are the basic hardware
and software requirements for my computer to operate well on the Juniata network?
Your literature says that course registration is first-come, first-served and I'm
planning to attend the final June Orientation session. Will I be closed-out of a course
I want?
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors have already registered for fall courses. First-year
students are the last to register. Don't worry. You will definitely get all of the
courses you NEED, although you may not get every single course you WANT. When you
are an upper-class student, you'll enjoy the luxury of being closer to the front of
the registration line.
Where should my family stay when we come to Orientation?
What is there to do in and around Huntingdon?
I'd like to learn more about the residence hall rooms (dimensions?, suggested items
to bring?, prohibited items?, amenities?, etc.)
